What's Included When You Rent a FlexSpace?

When you rent a FlexSpace, the hour includes everything a session needs: a private room with a full strength build — custom lifting rack, cable system, dumbbells — plus WiFi, music streaming, a TV/monitor, controllable lighting, and free guest access for the client you bring. You arrive with your programming and your coaching; the facility supplies the rest. Here’s the complete inventory, and — just as usefully — what’s not in the box.
The equipment, by suite type
FlexWerk runs three suite builds, each included in full when you book that suite:
- FlexSpace Standard — 150 sq ft, sized for 1–2 guests. The core professional toolkit: a custom lifting rack, a cable system, and dumbbells, together supporting more than 850 exercises. This is the workhorse room for one-on-one training.
- FlexSpace Plus — 230 sq ft, up to 5 guests. The expanded build stretches the menu past 1,100 exercises and adds the floor space that semi-private and small-group sessions actually require.
- Cardio suites — dedicated rooms built around connected cardio: HYDROW rowers, CLMBR vertical climbers, and curved treadmills.
Nothing on those lists is an upcharge. The suite you book is the suite you get, fully equipped — no coin-slot attachments, no “premium equipment tier.” Choosing between the two strength builds is mostly a question of guest count and format; the Standard vs. Plus comparison settles it in two minutes.
The environment layer
The equipment gets the attention, but the environmental inclusions are what clients actually comment on:
- Privacy. A FlexSpace is a room with a door that closes. For the booked hour, nobody shares your equipment, your floor, or your client’s attention.
- Your soundtrack. Music streaming is built in and under your control — the session runs to your playlist at your volume.
- A TV/monitor. Demo videos, virtual clients on screen, form review, streamed programming.
- Controllable lighting. Set the room to match the work — and note that suites are deliberately filming-friendly, so session-time content capture is a built-in capability rather than a rule violation.
- WiFi throughout. Coaching apps, client software, and live-streamed sessions all just work.
That combination — private, controlled, filmable — is the part no shared floor includes at any price. It changes what a session can be: a nervous beginner works without an audience, a virtual client joins on the big screen mid-session, an online coach captures a week of content during hours they were coaching anyway. Trainers who move from commercial floors consistently report the same surprise — the environmental inclusions, not the iron, are what their clients mention first.
It’s also worth naming what the hourly fee quietly replaces. A trainer assembling this environment alone would be carrying a commercial lease, equipment purchases and their maintenance, utilities, internet service, and furnishing — every line item a fixed cost that arrives whether sessions happen or not. Inside the hourly model, all of it collapses into the price of hours you actually book. That substitution — capital expenses traded for a variable cost — is the financial half of what “included” means here.
Included beyond the room itself
Several inclusions sit outside the suite walls and are easy to miss when comparing options:
- Free guest access for your clients. The person you’re training pays the facility nothing — your booked hour covers them. Your rate stays a private matter between you and your client, and you keep 100% of it.
- The full operating window. Booking access spans Mon–Fri 5 AM–9 PM and weekends 7 AM–4 PM — the early and late hours where training demand actually concentrates.
- App-based booking. Real-time availability and reservations through the FlexWerk app, with no host to message or approval to await.
- The address. Carmel City Center, steps from the Monon Trail, garage parking a short walk away — client convenience that functions like a feature.
What you still bring yourself
An honest packing list, because “fully equipped” doesn’t mean “nothing is your job”:
- Your liability insurance. Standard professional practice for independent trainers everywhere.
- Your programming and assessments. The room is the instrument; the coaching is still the product.
- Specialty small tools, if your method uses them. The suites cover the strength and cardio spectrum broadly, but a therapist’s or specialist’s niche implements are theirs to carry.
- Your business itself. Rates, packages, scheduling with clients, and client relationships all remain fully yours — which is precisely the point of the model.
Notice what’s absent from that list: anything resembling overhead. There’s no build-out to fund, no equipment loan, no maintenance schedule with your name on it. The dividing line the model draws is clean — the facility owns the environment, you own the practice.
Nothing here involves a lease, a membership, or a commitment beyond the hour — the full suite lineup shows each room, and pricing questions are best answered with current numbers from the team rather than a page that could age.
See the inventory in person
Inclusion lists flatten what a space actually feels like — 150 square feet with everything in reach trains bigger than it reads, and a client’s reaction to a private room is data no article supplies. The efficient move: book one hour, bring one client, and audit the inclusions live. For fitness professionals, the first hour is free, so the audit costs exactly nothing.
Related questions
Is WiFi included in every suite?
Yes — every FlexSpace includes WiFi, music streaming, and a TV/monitor, so virtual sessions, streamed programming, and your own playlist all run without extra setup.
Does my client pay anything to use the space?
No. Clients of trainers receive free guest access — the hour you book covers them, and whatever you charge for the session is entirely yours.
Is cardio equipment in every FlexSpace?
Cardio lives in dedicated cardio suites — HYDROW rowers, CLMBR machines, and curved treadmills. Standard and Plus suites are built around strength: rack, cable system, and dumbbells.
